Operation Christmas Child

We are excited to be part of Operation Christmas Child for the first time this year.  Operation Christmas Child is a fantastic project run by Samaritan’s Purse which provides joy, hope and an example of God’s unconditional love to children and their families all over the world.

It’s a simple yet very practical way that you can help have a profound impact on a child.  It involves grabbing a shoebox, wrapping it in colourful paper, deciding if you will pack it for a boy or girl (and what age) and the fun part, filling it wih a variety of simple gifts.

Some of the project’s outcome’s…

  • Children are shown they are valued and will be encouraged that there are people who love and care for them.
  • Greater expression of unity amongst churches that are networked together through the project.
  • The impact of other locally birthed projects such as the building of schools deepened as our local partners work alongside the communities.

Why not become part of this project with us?  Grab a shoebox and start packing!  Collection date at church will be 16th Oct.  Don’t forget to pray for the child that will be receiving your box as you are sourcing gifts and packing your box.
