MAcKay Evangelical church (MAKE) is a vibrant and growing, Bible-teaching church.

As a church we are on about the Jesus of the Bible.  Because of this we make it our habit to teach through books of the Bible from start to finish.  This way we don’t skip over the hard parts, but let God set the agenda.

As we preach Jesus from the Bible, we desire that: our church would express a vibrant living relationship with him in good times and bad; that we as individuals would grow to know him more; and that as a church we would see new people coming to know him for the first time.  We also want to be a church that is involved in seeing new churches and ministries springing up around Mackay, Australia and the world, so that more people can hear about Jesus.

To that end, we would love for you to join us, even if you don’t normally go to church (we are just regular people, so no need to feel weird!).  During our Sunday service you can expect to be warmly welcomed, hear the bible read out loud and explained, to be lead in prayer, to sing and to enjoy hanging out over some afternoon tea.

We aim to work along side other Christian churches in town who hold to the Jesus of the Bible as central.  Further, we are part of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches and are so grateful for the specific support of Christ Community Church (Brisbane), Coast Evangelical Church (Forster), EV Church (Central Coast, NSW), Sojourn Bible Church (Brisbane), St Matthews Anglican Church Ashbury (Sydney) and Unichurch Queensland who have been giving financially, covering us in prayer and providing encouragement through the early stages of this church plant.
